Mark’s specialty is Software Architecture and Design. However he has worked across the whole spectrum of the Software Development Life Cycle. From requirements and project initiation thru analysis, programming, testing to deployment and training.
Other areas of experience include, financial modeling, business intelligence systems, information systems, business collaboration, and management, he has experience across a wide range of industries and he is a respected speaker and participant in user groups and business clusters.
Experience covers 25 years in the ITC Industry. Previous positions include Director of the Statistical Research Division of the Insurance Council of Australia, IT Manager for Palmdale Insurance, Information Systems Consultant with the Pacific Dunlop Group and Southern Regional Manager for Business Model Systems.
Organisations Mark has provided management and consulting services to include Coles Group, National Australia Bank, MLC, Telstra, Australia Post, Target, New Zealand Post, Pacific Brands, Orica, Mobil Oil, Officeworks, BASF, Dulux and many other well know organisations.
Mark also has many highly respected technical skills - he has been a speaker at Borland Technical Conferences, Borland and Microsoft user groups and an invited participant on the beta testing panel for Microsoft and IBM.
He has published articles and run seminars for the Los Angeles Paradox User Group, the Australian Paradox user group, the Australian Computer Society and the Australian Visual Basic user group the Institute of Actuaries, the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants , the Australian Developers .NETwork and the Victorian .NET User Group. Mark is a past president of the Australian Paradox User Group, a founding member of the Australian Delphi User Group, Secretary of the Visual Basic User Group and past president of the Australian Developers .NETwork. He is a regular speaker at events and seminars.
Other industry activities include Senior Vice President of the Victoria.NET industry cluster a co-ordinator of the Victoria .NET User Group and a co-ordinator of the Victoria.NET Business Development sub committee. Victoria.NET is a joint venture between Microsoft and the Victorian Government)
Mark has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Materials Science and Applied Mathematics and a Graduate Diploma in Quantitative Methods and is a Member of the Australian Computer Society (MACS). Personal interests include sailing and skiing
